Racial Equity Network Dinner (REND)

Domini co-founded the first REND event in South-West England in November 2025, a national grassroot movement to bring together like-minded people from different sectors who are passionate and committed to improving racial equity in education to learn from each other, network and pledge a commitment to this important work in the wider Bristol region. The REND Bristol event will be an annual event and will offshoot further, smaller racial equity events in the region beyond the REND moniker.

South Asian Heritage Month (SAMH)

Domini is highly active in collaborating with a number of Bristol organisations, such as South Asian Voices CiC and Bristol Museum, as well as the national South Asian Heritage Trust, to co-lead the city’s plans to host a month-long programme of celebration and education in July 2026 to mark South Asian Heritage Month.

The BAMEed Network

Domini has been a trustee of the BAMEed Network since March 2023 nnd, previously, was the Bristol and South West Regional Lead for the charity. As a trustee, Domini contributes to establishing the direction of the charity’s work, supports with creating regional anti-racism events, represents the charity by delivering CPD at education conferences and festivals, and adds a voice to regional and national roundtable and policy discussions as required.

AMPLIFY mentoring project

As a member of the BANES Women in Leadership Network, Domini is also contributing to the Amplify project, a mentoring scheme set up in conjunction with the University of Bath. As part of this project, Domini is providing 1:1 intensive mentoring, as well as mentoring drop-in sessions, to female university students seeking guidance and advice, as well as emerging young female entrepreuners in the Bath and Bristol region.

Black South West Network (BSWN)

Domini is a member of the BSWN’s Education Working Group, a regional racial justice organisation based in Bristol who are dedicated to achieving racial justice through research, policy, enterprise, community development, and heritage. The organisation’s Access to Justice work aims to improve access to justice outcomes and experiences for Black and Racially Minoritised communities in the southwest region. Domini is working with BSWN, in collaboration with Bristol City Council and local community organisations on developing a project to facilitate lasting change in Bristol’s schools through community-centred research, policy review, training and supporting parents to become advocates themselves.

University of the West of England (UWE)

Domini is a member of UWE’s SEAC (School of Education and Childhood) Equity Steering Group providing guidance and expertise to the commitee on their work with preparing the next generation of teachers as one of the main providers of Initial Teacher Education in the region. As an example, Domini is advising them on the curriuclum content of their programme of teacher training.

University of Bristol (UoB)

Domini is an Associate Researcher for UoB’s Transformative Inclusive Pedagogy project which is a project that aims to use existing teaching practitioners to become trained in conducting active, on-the-job academic-standard research into a particular area of devveloping more inclusive pedagogy in schools. Domini’s area of focus is on inclusive recruitment which, so far, has involved mostly secondary research conducting literature reviews of exisiting relebant research and considering how to approach the primary research part of the project in the next phase.

Global Majority Teachers (GMT) Network

Domini has been a member of this network for a number of years. The network exists to bring together teachers of global majority heritage through in-person meetings and a WhatsApp group to support each other and learn from each other. As one of the most experienced members of the group, Domini has led some training of this group, acts as a source of advice when needed, and also provided training to the Global Majority Governors Network in conjunction with the GMT Network.

Bristol City Council (BCC)

For 11 years from 2015 to 2024, Domini was an active member of BCC’s Race Equality in Education Group (REEG), a commitee consisting of a cross-section of education leaders from different types of instutions and levels of education. The purpose of the commitee was to analyse education data for Bristol with a race equality lens, for example, outcomes, suspensions and PEXs, and to advise schools on further actions they should take to address any concerns. The committee ceased to exist in 2024 although the work continues through various other mechanisms, including the project that Domini is contributing to with the BSWN.
